Coed Varsity Swimming · Tigers Finishes in 1st Place Again as Jayla Cistrunk Qualifies for the State Championship

With competition in meet #2 the Tigers continued your their dominance as a team. Both the Boys and Girls team scored 1st place scores for Clayton County Schools and 1st place overall beating out favorites such as Eagle’s Landing.

Once again the Lady Tigers Relay Team has continued it’s dominance and has not lost a event in the 200 Medley or 200 Free Style Relay in the past 2 years. Last night’s meet was extra special as Jayla Cistrunk earned a qualifying time in the 100 Yard Free Style. This will be Jayla’s 3rd trip to the State Championship. Cistrunk will look to qualify next week in the 50 yard freestyle and break the county record of 24.33. The team also celebrated as Jayla Cistrunk earned her first Division I scholarship from Seton Hall University. Cistrunk is also receiving a lot of interest from other powerhouse schools such as University of Pittsburgh, Florida and Alabama.
